Whole-Sign vs Placidus Houses
Different house systems can put a transit in a different house. Soular Map uses Whole Sign houses by default (with Equal House as the alternative) because they're the cleanest system for transit and node work — the entire sign of Aquarius equals one house, no cusps, no ambiguity.
Placidus (the most common Western modern default) splits houses by time-based arcs, which can put a planet at 28° of one sign in the next house. If you use Placidus and a Whole Sign lookup gives a different house, both are technically correct — but for nodal cycles specifically, the whole-sign house is usually the one you'll actually feel.
If you're brand new: use the whole-sign lookup above. If you've been reading Placidus charts for years and it's what you know: use Placidus but be prepared for the transit to bleed into the adjacent whole-sign house.

If You Don't Know Your Birth Time
You can still work with the cycle. Two options:
- Use your sun sign horoscope as if it were your rising. Less precise, but the direction is still correct. Read the sign horoscope for your sun and treat the "growth" theme as personal rather than tied to a specific life area.
- Rectify against life events. If you know you're born "morning" or "evening," narrow to 3–4 candidate rising signs and read all of them.
