How it works

• Enter your birth date, exact time, and city.
• We compute your natal Moon's tropical ecliptic longitude.
• Each star in our 1,200+ catalog is stored at epoch J2000.0. Precession adds ~50.29″ per year (≈ 1° every 72 years, or 0.838′ per year), so we shift every catalog longitude forward to your birth year before matching.
• We return the fixed star whose adjusted longitude is closest to your Moon, and tell you whether that distance falls inside the star's traditional orb.
